New Digital Artwork

There is always something new to learn in art. During the pandemic, I discovered the world of digital artwork. I love the immediacy, and challenge of working on an Ipad with a stylus. I was inspired to learn this new technique by the amazing David Hockney, who began to paint digitally in his 80’s!

Palm Trees Series

Living in Florida for over 30 years, I have tried to capture the beauty of this graceful tree in many of my works and in many mediums. The palm tree symbolizes the love I feel for living in a warm, tropical climate and waking up most days to sunshine. I lived half my life in northern cities with gray skies, lots of days of rain and snow and early darkness in winter. I appreciate the beauty of the Florida palms and am lucky to have so many examples in my work to date. Here is a small sampling of my infatuation with palm trees over the years.
